Canopy® FS - Canopy FS backlit awning/sign fabric
now features Fluoro-Shield, a protective PVDF coating that offers
excellent resistance to outdoor elements. Fluoro-Sheild improves cleanability
and the adhesion of graphics. Canopy FS is not an eradicable material.

Eradicable Substrates
The most recent trend is to use eradicable substrates where you back
light opaque materials to make the letters visually pop off the substrate.
Less translucent materials require more light than opaque materials.
Here is a slideshow that illustrates the process of eradicating a
sign band.
In the example below you will see a canopy that is illuminated with
non-eradicable material. Notice how the letters do not pop off the
sign band.
